Antarctica- is the fifth-largest continent on this planet. It is covered with ice up to 4km thick. Antarctica is the coldest regions on the Earth. The temperature here is enough to freeze water all the time. The middle sector of Antarctica is much colder than the shores.
It has no plants or bushes. The only plants which can tolerate the harsh circumstances are moss and algae.

The thickness of the ice above Lake Vostok is 11,886FT. That's why researchers didn't expect any lifeforms under such harsh conditions.
The recorded temperature of this lake is 128.2 F or -89 C. However the concentration of Nitrogen and Oxygen is 50 times higher than in the ordinary freshwater lake.
Elongated skulls: Another amazing discovery was the three elongated skulls were found in 2014. These skulls were the first human remains uncovered in Antarctica. The twist is their unusual shape, they are identical to skulls found in Egypt, Peru, and other locations.

These skulls got their form due to weird practices that were popular among some ancient civilizations. They used several methods to extend the skull from a young age. This discovery reveals that there could have been some kind of contrast between African, South America, and Antarctica.

The small rise in the ice is nunatak, the peak of a mountain the projects through too of the ice. But according to the ancient Ancient astronomer, Antarctica was connected to Africa.
